Battle Bot

Bots built for combat. They are usually quite large, massing 100 to 1000 kilograms, and are armed with a variety of weapons. Virtually any weapon system can be mounted, lasers, machine guns, rockets and attack swarms are common. Heavy armour is often carried. They are essentially small tanks. Their most common use is in close quarters ground combat, where they will lead the charge and draw fire. Crab shaped is the most common design, with six or more legs, walking insect style. Some have wheels on their legs, which can drop down for use when the terrain permits. Both organic and cybernetic designs are used. Larger spy bots, such as cat bots, dog bots and bird bots can also be armed, but are usually used for stealth attacks.
