The Imperial Concordant

A class of cruiser used as an interstellar scout ship and wormhole transport. Their small size makes for a slow interstellar transport across open space, but the small size means they're easy and quick to manufacture. They are often painted gold or silver to be highly visible so that any residents of a star system can easily see them and know the incoming ship is not coming for a stealth attack. Goldenrods can be outfitted for virtually any kind of mission, with appropriate modules bolted onto the outer hull. Most have a small habitation section which is also used as an escape pod. Their small size and low power makes them poor warships, but they are sometimes used for combat, with extra power and armour added for the mission.
