Return to the cycle of life

Death is usually referred to as "Returning to the cycle of life". After death, remains are disposed of in a way to facilitate returning the biological mass to the biosphere. Cremation is often used. Burial near a tree is the favourite method, and numerous groves have been planted for this purpose. The ceremonial aspects of returning loved ones to the cycle has become part of the grieving process, and can be a very spiritual experience. Its origin is much more logical. Living in space stations and habitats, with artificial envoirments, neccitates immediate reuse of bio mass. The concept of loved ones who have died, becoming part of the life processes used to maintain the envoirnment, was so comforting to survivors, it's become part of the culture of virtually all of society.
